உலக தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் (லண்டன்), நடத்திய விழாவில் உலகளாவிய பொருளாதார மேம்பாட்டிற்கான சாதனை விருது 2019 , பெற்றதில் பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகின்றேன்.
இந்நிகழ்ச்சியை நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினரும், பாதுகாப்பு செயலாளருமான, மாண்புமிகு திரு. NIA GRIFITH, மற்றும் பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினரும் பிரிட்டனின் இந்திய- பிரிட்டிஷ் நாடாளுமன்றக் குழுவின் தலைவருமான திரு. வீரேந்திரா சர்மா தொகுத்து வழங்கினார்கள்.
லண்டனின் வெஸ்ட் மினிஸ்டர் லார்ட்ஸின் இல்லத்தில் செயற்குழு அறையில் (committee room, house of Lord’s, at the palace of westminister, London ) இந்நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது.
“ஒரு சமூக ஆர்வலரின் பயணம் ” என்ற தலைப்பில் உரையாற்றினேன்.
இங்கிலாந்து பாராளுமன்றத்தின் மேலவை , ஹவுஸ் ஆஃப் லார்ட்ஸ், அல்லது ஹவுஸ் ஆஃப் பியர்ஸ் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றது . இது இந்திய மாநிலங்களவைக்கு மேல் சபை ஒப்பான சபை ஆகும்.
உலக தமிழ்ச் சங்கத்திற்கு (லண்டன்) எனது மனமார்ந்த நன்றிகளைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கின்றேன். மேலும் இவ்விருதினை உலக தமிழ் மக்களுக்கும் என் உடன்பிறப்புகளுக்குச் சமர்ப்பிக்கின்றேன்.
இப்பயணத்தின் போது ஆக்ஸ்போர்டு பல்கலைக்கழகம், இங்கிலாந்து அருங்காட்சியகம், மற்றும் இங்கிலாந்து நூலகம் மற்றும் லண்டன் பொருளாதாரப் பள்ளி ஆகிய இடங்களையும் பார்வையிட உள்ளேன்.
மேலும் லண்டன் வாழ் நண்பர்களையும், தமிழ் சொந்தங்களையும் சந்திக்க ஆவலாக உள்ளேன்.

I am extremely delighted and deeply honored to have received the Global Economic Development and Achievement Award 2019, hosted by the World Tamil Organisation in London today. It is indeed a very special moment for me and my Organisation in being recognized and awarded. I dedicate this award to the Tamil race and all those who have been part of the journey. Spoke on “The life of a social activist”.
The venue was the Palace of Westminster which serves as the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The event was held in the Committee room in the House of Lords and was hosted by Right Honourable Nia Griffith, Member of Parliament, Shadow Secretary of State for Defence and Right Honourable Mr Virendra Sharma, Member of Parliament, Chairman, Indo British Parliamentary Group, Britain,
